The central mission of the Justice Project Against Sexual Harm is to hold individuals and institutions accountable for the ways in which they engage in and promote the sexual abuse of girls and women. We aim to transform the promise of laws against sexual harm into realities that truly empower victims and deter perpetrators.

Our strategy is two-fold: First, provide low or no cost legal services to sexual assault survivors, in whatever venue, and via whatever tools, best meets their individual needs. Two primary methods of this work include civil litigation and advocacy in support of criminal prosecution. Second, we advocate for public policies that increase the efficacy of criminal and civil laws against sexual abuse.

The Justice Project Against Sexual Harm (JusticePASH) takes the view that the fight against sexual assault and exploitation is a critical front in the battle for social justice and equality. JusticePASH also believes that a proven method for creating social change in the United States—civil rights litigation by disempowered groups—has thus far been a radically underused tool in the fight against rape.
